Lady Bug Friends

Can you believe it!  Another week has flown by and it's time for a new challenge at Mo's Digital Pencil.  My wonderful DT Sistah Debbie has chosen a theme of "Fantasy or Halloween" for this week's challenge.  I'm really not a Halloween person so I decided to play with one of Mo's adorable fairies.  This little sweetie has a ladybug friend.
For my card I used this great sketch from Bearly Mine.

The background really caught my eye and I thought it would be a cool effect if I could make that back panel textured.  So I broke out my Martha Stewart scoreboard and went to work.  Since I was going to be accordion folding I knew 6 x 6 wasn't going to work unless I wanted to piece so I dug out an old K & Company 12 x 12 pad that I love and used half of one of the sheets.  I just scored at random intervals on the board.  Didn't want it to be uniform, but rather match the different sized stripes in the sketch more or less.  I like how it turned out and it was pretty simple to do.  I cut apart a Memory Box Fresh Foliage die cut to make it fit better and added some flowers using a MS hydrangea punch.
Here's a close up of the bug lover.

Copics Used:

Blowin' in the wind

I'm running a bit late with my post for There She Goes this week.  Had a bit of a mojo malfunction.  Our theme this week is "leaves" brought to us by our Trendsetter Danielle.  For my card I used four of the leaf stamps from the new "Happy Fall" set that just happens to have been designed by Danielle herself.  I stamped the leaves on vellum with some Dew Drop inks and used a gold leafing pen around the edges of the vellum panel.  The leaves were cut from a Cuttlebug die and inked with Distress inks.
I know there are lots of fall cards being made out there right now so come join in the challenge at TSG.
     Have a fantastic week!

Winding it up

Today I have a couple of cards for you from Art Impressions.  These two finish up the last groups of stamps I was sent to guest design with.
First off I've used the three stamps and sentiment from the "Shoppes" Try-fold set.  These stamps are actually designed to be used on a card that has panels opening outward to the left and right.  I decided to just layer them on a card front for my project.

The second card uses a cute little Halloween sentiment stamp.  I just happened to have a scrap from my one and only Halloween paper pad with that awesome scroll work on it.  I thought it would be a great way to set off the stamp.  I stamped the sentiment directly onto the DP and colored it with Copics.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend.  I'm busy cooking for some get togethers at church and trying to stay warm.   Brrrrr it was cold this morning!
     Be blessed!

TSG Sneak Peek--Snowman Soup

Well, it's our last sneaky peek of the new releases from There She Goes Clear Stamps.

Chatali has come up with a fantastic set great for making all those holiday treat packages.

Snowman Soup is a 4x8 set that includes a total of 25 stamps and will sell for $18.00.

Treat bags and packaging are really not my forte, but this set makes it super easy.  I made an assortment of projects using this fun set.
For the large lunch bag package I went to the JFY Halloween Additions stamp set to grab that great medallion stamp which I did in green.  It was cut out using one of the Just For You dies.  Both of these older sets can be found in the TSG store.  The sentiment and gift package stamps are from the new Snowman Soup set.  I created a big paper bow using this great template and tied the tag around it.
For the cookie treat bag all the stamped images are from the new set including the scalloped frame.  Jessica also has a die for this set that will cut the frame out in a jiffy.  Can't wait to get it cause cutting out those scallops neatly was a rather tough job.
For the tag I did some doodling and added a few embellishments.  I stamped and masked for a second stamping of the Christmas tree which was spruced up with some Liquid Applique and sparkly Stickles.
Make sure you check out the projects from my team mates.  I'm sure they did a much better job of showcasing this versatile set.
Would you like to win the new Snowman Soup set? Here is what you need to do-visit the Trendsetter’s blogs that are participating in each of the blog hop challenges below and comment on their creations as you go. Little Stinker

Hello all!  I hope your Monday is starting off wonderfully.  I tried my best to catch up with most of you this weekend during some down time.  Seems that's all I have of late is down time, but I'm trying to stay up in spirits and coloring this little cutie helped.  He's one of The Art Impressions Little People Line.
I had a question about the last AI card I posted because I gave the store link and the stamp was not there.  They will be eventually, but AI gives their distributors time to sell the stamps before they load them into their own store.  You can find them at great online stores like Oozak and Simon Says Stamp.
Sometimes some of you leave me questions and I cannot answer you because you haven't changed your blog settings to include you email address.  All you have to do is go into your Blogger profile and add your email address in so that people can respond to your questions and you don't show up as a "Non-reply Blogger".  If you're a visual learner like me, here's a great YouTube video showing how to do it step by step.  I try my best to answer any questions and share what little knowledge I have.
For this card I've used "Little Stinker" and his matching sentiment stamp.  Don't cha just love his skunk cap.  I added a couple of brads and a couple of ribbon tabs, plus I pierced around the panels.
Hope he gives you a chuckle today.   This is going to be another super busy posting week here.  Four days of There She Goes new release cards and a Mo card of course.  Commenting on numerous postings can get a bit overwhelming and stressful so please don't feel bad if you can't visit for every post.  Sometimes we just can't do it.
Sending you all big hugs for a happy week!

Paper--My Mind's Eye "Blue Floral", Recollections, Copic XPress-it Blending card

Eat your heart out Martha Stewart!

When my sweet DT Sistah Cathy picked "Make It Vintage" as her theme for this week's challenge at Mo's Digital Pencil she had no clue just how well she was describing me for the past few weeks.  LOL
The pinched neck is doing much better although it still has it's moments (literally a pain in the neck) but I'm also having trouble with a host of other ailments that I'm afraid I'm going to have to chalk up to that wonderful change in life we ladies all look so forward to---NOT!  I've been feeling pretty rotten and the couch and recliner have become my two new best friends.  It's driving me nuts cause I'm not a "be still" person, but when you feel rotten what cha gonna do.  My visiting track record really stinks right now but I'm trying my best to leave you all some love as best I can.
So I guess I should tell you about my card.  I've used two of Mo's images--"Perfection" and "Vintage Stove".  I think she has a hot date that she made that souffle for.  She's got the classic black dress on under her apron so it must be a special occasion.  I distressed and inked my DP's and added some lace and seam binding to carry through the vintage theme.  The sentiment is from Create with TLC.  Here's her glamour shot.

We'd love to have you play along with the challenge this week.  Vintage is a pretty wide open theme so grab a Mo image and join in the fun for a chance at a $5.00 gift voucher to Mo's store.
Here are a few challenges I'd like to enter this card into:

Whimsy Inspirations--shabby chic/vintage

Mason jar pretty

You guys are the best.  Thanks so much for all your sweet words and prayers for my nasty old pinched neck.  I am doing much better.  My computer and crafting time is done in fits and spurts to try not to aggravate the problem,  So sorry that my commenting is running a bit behind.  I'm trying to do it on my Kindle instead of sitting at the desktop.  I'll go ahead an apologize for any spelling/word errors right now.  Kindles auto correct likes to play with what I've typed and make things like "pray for me" become "pay for me" as my sweet friend Nancy read.  LOL  I told her not to worry I'd be pretty cheap, especially as broke down as I am.  hee hee
I'm about to make a run to the store for some supplies.  Looks like Tropical Storm Karen is going to be smacking us around tomorrow.  I don't think it will be too bad, but if I disappear for a while it's probably because we lost power.
The project pictured above was created for the newest challenge at the Catered Crop which is "Mason Jars".  I dug one out of the cabinet and wrapped it with burlap and jute string.  The tag was created from a Spellbinders label die.  I stamped a sentiment and some acorns on it from the There She Goes Clear Stamps "Pumpkins on the Vine" set, colored them with Copics and added a little Distress ink in Vintage Photo and Spiced Marmalade.  I had an old fall pick in my stash so I used a couple of pieces off of it and popped in a stem of fall flowers to finish it off.  There's a great inspiration board for mason jar projects over at the CC blog so go check it out.
Here are the last of the postcards I've received.  My little book is loaded with wonderful cards from all around the world.  Thank you so much again for sending them everyone.

Two lovely cards from Rebecca, Valentina, Audrey, Cheryl, and Kathya

Hope you have a wonderful day!

Happy, happy, happy

It's a new week and there's tons of exciting news over at the Mo's Digital Pencil challenge blog.  Our Guest Designers have been chosen for their three month term and we have a brand new amazing card maker joining our regular Design Team.  We're so excited to be working with all these girls.
There's no way I could have made this card this week with the neck problems I've been having, but I sure enjoyed getting out all my kitchen sink toys last week to create it.
Our challenge this week is "H is for.....".  Now "H" is a pretty tough letter to match crafty supplies with, but I've used "Harvest Fairy Apple" for my image.  She's smiling so she's "happy" and I added some "hinges" to the side of my card.
Layers, die cuts, and ribbons oh my.  LOL  Here's a glamour shot of the little sweetie.
